Behind every Spanish journey, there's a human connection.
¡Hola! I'm Laura, the Colombian teacher behind Spanish a lo Paisa.
I believe the best way to learn a language is to feel comfortable enough to be yourself while speaking it.
For over five years, I've had the privilege of teaching Spanish to students from different countries, backgrounds and walks of life. And one of my favorite parts of teaching isn't just seeing my students improve their Spanish, it's getting to know the people behind the language. One of my favorite things is that many of my students stay with me for years. I've even had the opportunity to meet several of them in person, creating connections that go far beyond the classroom.
I'm naturally curious and love exploring new places, meeting people from different cultures, learning about the way they see the world, and discovering the little things that make each culture unique.
Those experiences have shaped the way I teach.
They've given me a multicultural perspective that naturally finds its way into my classes. I'm not only interested in teaching you what to say, but also helping you understand the context, culture and human connection behind the language.
And one thing I can promise: My classes are anything but boring. We talk, laugh, make mistakes, explore new ideas and learn Spanish through conversations that actually feel real.
